BHRT Pellets are derived from natural plant sources.  They are produced by compounding pharmacies which are regulated facilities.  SottoPelle® has a long standing relationship with a compounding pharmacy here in the United States.  They undergo testing of lots to assure accuracy and safety of all the pellets that are produced.

These sterile pellets are stored in the doctor’s office.  On the day that you receive pellets you will receive local anesthesia that consists of a mild stick and brief sting.  There is no further discomfort as the doctor inserts the pellets just under the skin, behind the hip.  A bandage is applied and you will receive simple “home care instructions”.  The entire office procedure only takes a few minutes.  The pellets will last 3 to 6 months, depending on each person and their activity level.
